The issue of early child marriage has been a major challenge in the world, Child marriage is a prevalence issue in many parts of the world particularly in developing countries. According to UNICEF, approximately 12 million girls are married before the age of 18 years. This practice is rooted in gender inequality, poverty, and cultural beliefs that prioritize traditional gender role and restrict women’s autonomy. • VGE understand that that child marriage has devastating consequences on the health, education and overall development of the children, particularly girls. VGE addresses the underlying causes of the practice, promotes education and gender equity, and strengthens laws and policies to protect children’s right. VGE use the Community-based interventions, awareness-raising campaigns, and empowering programs for girls and young women are among the approaches that are used to tackle the challenges.
